Ozarks Community Hospital is now operating the OCH Noel Clinic (located at 125 Main St.). It reopens to the public on Monday, May 6, staffed with family nurse practitioner Tracy Lowry and family practice physician Rodger Moler, DO.

Ozarks Community Hospital of Gravette will celebrate its five year anniversary this Sunday, April 14. To recognize this milestone, OCH will host a series of events for employees and community members, including a Business After Hours on Thursday, April 18. This event will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the front lobby of the hospital and is open to the public. OCH administration will be present and free hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) was awarded accreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) an independent accreditation organization recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). It earned this distinction after HFAP conducted an extensive and objective review of hospital policies, quality and safety standards. OCH has been accredited by HFAP for 12 years.

Donald Maples, DO and Donald Burkindine, DO are now seeing patients at the OCH Wellpointe Family Medical Clinic (543 W. Hubble Drive). Dr. Maples is available on Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to noon; Dr. Burkindine is available every other Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Both physicians are board certified in family practice and can accept Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare and other insurances.

OCH patients now have the option to pay via credit card through OCH’s secure online bill pay. To pay a bill, patients should visit www.OCHonline.com and click on the green “Pay My Bill” button. Patients can also visit the “Patients” tab and click “Pay My Bill” for additional payment options.

Data released this week from the 2012 Missouri Hospital Association (MHA) Community Investment Report totals OCH’s community benefit to $4,353,707. This total includes the sum of uncompensated care, unpaid costs of Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries, donations, health professional’s education and free or low-cost medical services offered to uninsured patients.

Community members and families are invited to stop by for a free chili dog dinner and fall activities on Thursday, Oct. 4 at OCH Wellpointe Family Medical Clinic (543.W. Hubble Drive).
The free event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. and will feature pumpkin decorating for kids, a clown with balloon animals and a caramel apple toppings bar. Clinic staff and providers will also be available for a meet and greet and to provide information about fall health safety, including flu prevention. Flu vaccines will be provided for the first 50 adults.

Ozarks Community Hospital system now encompasses an additional building in north Springfield(1540 E. Evergreen St.) located in the space previously known as Joe’s Carpet. As part of the first phase, OCH Evergreen Clinic will house OCH/Advantage Therapy and orthopedic surgeon Dr. Edwin Roeder’s practice with additional providers and specialties in the future.
