At Ozarks Community Hospital, we take pride in standing out. We’re not a traditional healthcare system, here’s why:
We care. We are an organization that takes pride in what we do, how we do it, and who we serve. We are dedicated to providing care to a high percentage of governmental and uninsured patients and strongly believe in helping the underserved.
Our culture is contagious. Patients who have only visited us once can immediately feel how OCH is unique. Our hospital staff treats patients like patients, not like numbers in a system. At OCH, every employee is member of our hospital family and we work hard to extend that relationship to every patient who walks through our door.
We are a champion for our patients’ rights. We have never sued a patient to collect a bill, nor have we reported a patient to a credit bureau for nonpayment. Our hospital staff defends patients from collection agents who threaten to damage their credit as a way to coerce them into paying a bill.
We are resourceful. While the billion dollar health systems make deals, we make do. We do not solicit charitable donations, we do not put a lot of money into fancy facilities, we do not buy new if we can find it used, nor do we own our own insurance company. We do not have a million dollar foundation providing financial support. We earn every dollar we use to run our organization by providing quality care to patients who visit our hospital.
Thank you for choosing us, and welcome to the family!
