OCH to offer free baby basics class in north Springfield

Springfield, MO – It’s not easy being a new parent; but having the right tools can help. Starting June 11, Ozarks Community Hospital is offering a reoccurring baby basics class at 2828 N. National.

Classes will take place the second Tuesday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. and be taught by pediatric nurse Stefanie Daugherty and medical assistant Ashley White under the direction of pediatrician Christopher Spinelli, DO, FAAP. Parents and caretakers are invited to take the course to brush up on swaddling, crib safety, vaccine information, breast feeding, car seat safety, and other essential infant and toddler health basics.

“After leaving the hospital, it’s a whirlwind of new experiences,” says Stefanie. “The purpose of this class is to equip parents and caregivers by giving them a quick overview of some of the most frequently asked questions that pop up once they arrive home.”

Springfield, Mo. – Pediatrician Christopher Spinelli, DO, FAAP, is now offering $200 circumcisions at his new office location in North Springfield.

Circumcisions are generally recommended between birth and two-weeks old. Dr. Spinelli sees patients from birth to 18 years old at the Ozarks Community Hospitla Northside Clinic (2828 N. National).

Coming to OCH from JordanValley Community Health Center, Dr. Spinelli has also worked previously for Health Tracks Pediatrics inSpringfieldand was a pediatrician in the United States Air Force.  He is currently a LtCol in the United States Air Force Reserve. After completing an undergraduate degree fromTrumanStateUniversity, Dr. Spinelli graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Pediatric residency atKeeslerMedicalCenterinBiloxi,MS.

Springfield, MO – OCH welcomes Board Certified Pediatrician Christopher Spinelli, D.O., FAAP. Beginning Monday, August 6, Dr. Spinelli will see patients at the OCH Northside Clinic (2828 N. National) located on the Springfield hospital campus. 

Coming to OCH from JordanValley Community Health Center, Dr. Spinelli has also worked previously for Health Tracks Pediatrics in Springfield and was a pediatrician in the United States Air Force.  He is currently a LtCol in the United States Air Force Reserve. After completing an undergraduate degree from Truman State University, Dr. Spinelli graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Pediatric residency at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, MS. 

As a pediatrician at OCH, Dr. Spinelli will perform circumcisions and Osteopathic manipulation. Dr. Spinelli will see children of all ages with Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare. He is in the credentialing process with other private insurances. To contact Dr. Spinelli, call (417) 837-4003.
