Springfield, Mo. - Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) scores in the top 10% for overall quality of care, according to research from Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC).  OCH received the 5-star designation in Inpatient Services for Overall Quality of Care at the 2012 PRC Excellence in Healthcare Conference June 5 held in Scottsdale, Ariz.

This patient perception award designation is given annually to healthcare facilities that score in the top 10% of the national client database for the prior calendar year. It is based on the percentage of patients who rate the facility “Excellent” for Overall Quality of Care. Last year, OCH was recognized as a 4-star award winner scoring in the top 25% of the national client database.   

This research is conducted to obtain the opinions of the patients at OCH via a confidential survey to assess their perceptions of overall quality of care. The healthcare facility uses the research findings to continuously improve and enhance patient satisfaction.
