Springfield, MO – OCH welcomes Board Certified Pediatrician Christopher Spinelli, D.O., FAAP. Beginning Monday, August 6, Dr. Spinelli will see patients at the OCH Northside Clinic (2828 N. National) located on the Springfield hospital campus.
Coming to OCH from JordanValley Community Health Center, Dr. Spinelli has also worked previously for Health Tracks Pediatrics in Springfield and was a pediatrician in the United States Air Force. He is currently a LtCol in the United States Air Force Reserve. After completing an undergraduate degree from Truman State University, Dr. Spinelli graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Pediatric residency at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, MS.
As a pediatrician at OCH, Dr. Spinelli will perform circumcisions and Osteopathic manipulation. Dr. Spinelli will see children of all ages with Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare. He is in the credentialing process with other private insurances. To contact Dr. Spinelli, call (417) 837-4003.

Springfield, Mo. - Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) scores in the top 10% for overall quality of care, according to research from Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC). OCH received the 5-star designation in Inpatient Services for Overall Quality of Care at the 2012 PRC Excellence in Healthcare Conference June 5 held in Scottsdale, Ariz.
This patient perception award designation is given annually to healthcare facilities that score in the top 10% of the national client database for the prior calendar year. It is based on the percentage of patients who rate the facility “Excellent” for Overall Quality of Care. Last year, OCH was recognized as a 4-star award winner scoring in the top 25% of the national client database.
This research is conducted to obtain the opinions of the patients at OCH via a confidential survey to assess their perceptions of overall quality of care. The healthcare facility uses the research findings to continuously improve and enhance patient satisfaction.

Mt. Vernon, MO - OCH Lawrence County Clinic is now offering an ADHD and behavioral health diagnosis and treatment program for Mt. Vernon residents. The step-by-step program is designed with local Medicaid and Medicare patients in mind, and will prevent excess travel for Mt. Vernon residents due to the availability of specialized provider care.
Collaborating physicians and providers include: William McKay, DO; Salvador Ceniceros, MD; Stephen Belk, PsyD and Cindy Hollis FNP-BC. All are working together to assist in diagnosing and treating those in preschool through adolescent years with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), pervasive developmental disorders (PDD) such as autism, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), or other behavioral issues.
