Cook (Event and Catering Focus)
Nexus is seeking a skilled Cook to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play an essential part in preparing food for onsite events and catering offsite, ensuring every dish delights our clients and their guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items for onsite events, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Assist with planning, prepping, and executing food for offsite catering events, including setup and breakdown.
- Collaborate with the culinary and events teams to customize menus to meet client needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and report supply needs to the kitchen manager or designated lead.
- Ensure timely food preparation to meet event schedules and client expectations.
- Assist in menu development by contributing innovative ideas and recipes.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in catering or a related field, such as event planning, hospitality, or food service.
- Valid Driver’s License required.

We have two locations with seven different event spaces. Nexus has The Courtyard, King Jack, Paddy's Pub, The JAT Bar, Cackler's Cafe, and Cardinal Room. At Gravette Hospital we have The Annex. We offer event coordination, decor, catering, and bartending services.
