About Spravato®

SPRAVATO® is a prescription medication, used in combination with an oral antidepressant, to treat adults with treatment-resistant depression. SPRAVATO® nasal spray offers hope to adults with major depressive disorder (MDD) and treatment- resistant depression (TRD).

Approved by the FDA, it is a unique formulation of esketamine, delivered via a nasal spray. Esketamine, the active ingredient in SPRAVATO®, is derived from Ketamine, a long-established anesthetic that has been used to treat depression for several years.

SPRAVATO® functions as an N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor opponent. It works by blocking a specific type of receptor in the brain. By doing so, it can help to regulate mood and improve symptoms of depression, sometimes within just hours.

Key Benefits

  • Manages Depressive Symptoms with Suicidal Ideation: Alleviates symptoms in adutls with MDD and acute suicidal thoughts or behavior.
